You’ll die to be his muse.

Dark Arts by Sharon Provost

5/5

This book gives a new meaning to the age old idea that life imitates art.

Get lost in a modern but gothic story with gore blended into the paint itself. Do not be fooled by the sun kissed date between two seemingly well matched souls. Things are getting darker and more artistic by each chapter. Dark Arts is a well paced horror thriller that will have you thinking twice about Tinder or dating at all.

After the murder of her closest friend, Mendy is determined to track down and punish her killer. The problem is he is not only intelligent but extremely prepared and elusive, a ghost in the machine. His art doesn’t leave a trace. Muse by muse he is making his way through the lonely ladies on Tinder, at least the ones with blonde locks and green gazes.

I was wrapped into this story fairly quickly and devoured the book in one night. I found the writing eloquently descriptive. The villain himself was engaging and part of me was rooting for him to pick his next gallery opening while I hoped the women would realize how many red flags wear hidden under the seats of his jaguar.

Don’t skip this perfect read for both horror enthusiasts and psychological thriller connoisseurs.
